Situated in the Radersburg District of Montana, the underground workings explored a narrow orebody along a fault planecutting Paleozoic Quadrant Quartzite. The mine produced ores valued for their silver and lead content, but only a roughly 200 meter long adit was ever worked.
This is a classic miniature example of vanadinite from the Jo Jo mine. Small, red, hexagonal crystal scatter across a matrix of altered Madison quartzite. Every angle of the specimen displays some level of crystallization
