The Septemvri Mine, for instance, comprises multiple deposits—Sharenka, Baram, Mogilata, Osikovo, and Pechinsko. It is important to note that the mine underwent a name change over time. From the start of exploration in 1953 until 1989, it was known as the Deveti Septemvri Mine (“9th of September Mine” in English). Since 1989, it has been referred to as the Septemvri Mine (“September Mine” in English).
This specimen is a matrix of classic Madan. Lustrous skeletal galena coats a matrix of dominantly sphalerite. Superb aesthitcs and great sparkle!
