The Shengou lead-zinc mine is a relatively small underground mining site in Xide County, within Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, China. It lies within the extensive Sichuan–Yunnan–Guizhou metallogenic region, an area containing numerous polymetallic deposits. Mining at Shengou involved workings developed at multiple elevations along the mountainside. Historically, an aerial cable system was used to move extracted ore from the mine down the slope to the nearby road for transportation.

This specimen is a matrix beautiful example of multi generational calcite. Lenticular blades overgrowth rhombohedral primary generations of calcite. great luster and aesthetics.
