Initially discovered in 1887, the Summit Mine lies in the Radersburg district in the southern part of Broadwater County. The finest hemimorphite in the USA come from this locality, as well as numerous other interesting and uncommon minerals. The mine has been inactive for some time and lies on private property.

This is a classic example of Mottramite on descloizite matrix. Only occuring at depth in one area of the mine, this material is quite rare indeed. Accompanied by the label of Chris Tucker. Chris is undoubtedly the collector of the specimen, as he wrote several articles on the mine as well as is known to have collected there.
