Initially discovered in 2006, the Rocklands copper mine was owned and operated by Cudeco Limited until depts forced the sale of the project to foreign interest in July of 2019. It was in 2017 however that UK Mining ventures funded a 2 month specimen harvest operation. This yielded remarkable native coppers that struck the mineral collector community by storm.
Featured here is a structural display of intergrown and twinned native copper crystals. the main body of the mass shows the largest structure, gently tapering to macro crystalline structure at the edges away from nucleation site. This specimen is accompanied by a former dealer label as well (Persson Fine Minerals).
